Spectroscopy of SN 2020nvb, a Type Ia supernova in NGC 4457

We obtained a spectrum of SN 2020nvb with the SPRAT spectrograph on the 2m Liverpool Telescope on 2020 Jul 1.91 UT. The spectrum shows SN 2020nvb to be a Type Ia supernova before maximum light, and we measure the Si II velocity to be ~12500 km/s. See also the classification reported in ATel #13848.
