ZTF Bright Transient Survey classification of SN 2020ttu
Authors: A. A. Miller (Northwestern), X. Hall (Caltech), on behalf of the Zwicky Transient Facility collaboration
Source Group: ZTF
Keywords: Supernova
Abstract:
We report the spectral classification of SN 2020ttu as a Type II supernova with the Low Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (range 320-1020nm, spectral resolution R~1100) mounted on the 10m Keck-I telescope, and reduced with lpipe (Perley, D. A. 2019, PASP, 131, 084503). The classification was performed with SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024).

The best SNID match for SN 2020ttu (ZTF20acaiztt) is SN 2004fx at a phase of 31 days after maximum light. Many other normal SNe II provide good matches as well.
