Abstract:
We classify SN 2021dqs as a Type II SN. It's ZTF light curve indicates a rise time of >35 days with a rebrightening.

SN 2021dq was discovered on 2021-02-19 09:42:46.000 by ZTF and reported by the SGLF group on 2021-02-23 12:23:45. The public ZTF light curve shows a rise in excess of 35 days with a rebrightening in the last few days.

The target was identified as a candidate by the TCD transients group for our Liverpool Telescope `Unusual Transients' classification programme on 2021-03-30 02:37:21.043, and classified as a Type II SN owing to the strong H alpha emission consistent with the redshift of the host.

The object is still >19 mag, which gives an absolute magnitude of approximately -15 mag in r at the redshift of host. Follow-up observations are encouraged.
