Abstract:
We have obtained optical spectra of SN 2021inc and SN 2021jmg, which show them to be a young Type II supernova and a Type Ic supernova close to maximum, respectively.

The adH0cc programme for an "accurate determination of H0 with core-collapse supernovae" reports the classification of the optical transients SN 2021inc and SN 2021jmg. The targets were supplied by the Zwicky Transient Facility ZTF (Kulkarni 2018, 2018ATel11266....1K), the ATLAS survey (Tonry et al. 2018, 2018PASP..130f4505T) and the Pan-STARRS survey for Transients (Huber et al. 2015, 2015ATel.7153....1). The observations were performed on the night of 2021 April 13 with the ESO Very Large Telescope UT1, equipped with the FORS2 spectrograph and grism 300V, covering a wavelength range from 3400 to 9600 Å at a resolution of 10 Å.

Catalog Name Reported RA Reported DEC Reported Obj-Type Reported Redshift Host Name Host Redshift Source Phase Remarks TNS RA TNS DEC TNS Obj-Type TNS Redshift
TNS 2021inc [ZTF21aatabgn] 13:48:21.211 +28:16:07.07 SN II 0.0777 WISEA J134821.31+281603.9 0.0777 ZTF, ATLAS, PS1 10d The spectrum shows a blue continuum with weak P-Cygni features of H and He, indicative of a young Type II supernova. We estimate a phase of around 10 days after explosion based on the ZTF and ATLAS photometry. We have adopted the redshift of the host for the SN redshift. 13:48:21.200 +28:16:07.08 SN II 0.0777

GELATO (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, 2008A&A...488..383H) finds a convincing match with SN 1994I at a phase of -1.6 days. We have adopted the redshift of the host for the SN redshift. 13:16:51.913 +14:24:54.58 SN Ic 0.0589
