Abstract:
We report the updated spectroscopic classification of SN 2021ltk as a SN II.

YSE, the Young Supernova Experiment, reports the updating of the following supernova classification. The target was supplied by ATLAS. Observations were performed on GMOS on the Gemini-South telescope on the night of 05/13/2021. Classifications were performed using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007  2007ApJ...666.1024B). Upon further inspection of the spectrum taken with the R400 grating, it was revealed that this is a SN II. The spectrum is similar to early spectra of the type II SN 1999em. We measure an H-alpha absorption velocity of -10,200 km/s.

We thank the staff at the Gemini-South telescope (specifically Karleyne Silva and Pablo Prado) for their rapid response in acquiring these follow up observations.
