Abstract:
This report classifies AT2021knj as a SN 1991T-like SN Ia using a spectrum obtained on May 04 2021 (UT date) with the Kast spectrograph on the 3 m Shane telescope at Lick Observatory.

The host galaxy of AT 2021knj shows emission lines typical of an Sc galaxy. The SN is matched to one that is typical of SN 1991T-like SNe Ia before optical maximum. The redshift from a joint SN plus host-galaxy fit is 0.0812 using the code of Howell and Wang (2002, BAAS, 34, 1256).
