Abstract:
This report classifies AT2021ihf as a 2000cx-like SN Ia using spectrum from HET-LRS2.

The spectrum of AT2021ihf is dominated by light from the host galaxy. A joint galaxy and SN Ia template fit shows it to be a supernova similar to SN 2000cx at around optical maximum. The light curve evolution also appears to be consistent with that of SN 2000cx. The joint spectral fit of the host galaxy and the SN spectra shows the host galaxy to be an S0 galaxy at a redshift of 0.135 (Howell and Wang 2002, BAAS, 34, 1256).
