Abstract:
We have obtained an optical spectrum of SN 2021zoh, which shows it to be a normal Type Ia supernova a few days before the peak.

The adH0cc programme for an "accurate determination of H0 with core-collapse supernovae" reports the classification of the optical transient SN 2021zoh. The target was supplied by the Pan-STARRS Survey for Transients (Huber et al. 2015, 2015ATel.7153....1), the ATLAS survey (Tonry et al. 2018, 2018PASP..130f4505T), and the Zwicky Transient Facility ZTF (Kulkarni 2018, 2018ATel11266....1K). The observations were performed on the night of 2021 September 30 with the ESO Very Large Telescope UT1, equipped with the FORS2 spectrograph and grism 300V, covering a wavelength range from 3400 to 9600 Å at a resolution of 10 Å.

TNS 2021zoh [PS21kis] 23:01:03.260 -06:41:40.86 SN Ia 0.089 WISEA J230103.89-064138.7 0.089 PS1, ATLAS, ZTF -3d The spectrum shows SN 2021zoh to be a Type Ia supernova close to B-band maximum light. SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007; 2007ApJ...666.1024B) and GELATO (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, 2008A&A...488..383H) find good matches with several normal Type Ia supernovae around day -3. The redshift of z = 0.089 has been determined from narrow host-galaxy emission lines. 23:01:03.264 -06:41:40.83 SN Ia 0.089
