Abstract:
We report on the detection of SN 2021afdx, a type II SN discovered by the ATLAS survey on 2021-11-23, in James Webb Space Telescope NIRCam and MIRI images of ESO 350-40, the Cartwheel Galaxy.

We report on the detection of SN 2021afdx, a type II SN (Ragosta et al. AstroNote 2021-298) discovered by the ATLAS survey on 2021-11-23 (Tonry et al. 2021TNSTR4000....1T), in James Webb Space Telescope NIRCam and MIRI images of ESO 350-40, the Cartwheel Galaxy (z~0.03) (ERO 2727). We report preliminary aperture magnitudes of the SN in 10 filters 202 days (NIRCam) and 205 days (MIRI) after ATLAS discovery: F090W, F150W, F200W, F277W, F356W, F444W, F770W, F1000W, F1280W, and F1800W. The corresponding AB magnitudes are 24.22(0.02), 23.25(0.01), 23.106(0.004), 23.304(0.003), 23.163(0.003), 22.239(0.002), 20.74(0.01), 21.10(0.01), 20.45(0.01), 20.12(0.02).
