The Asiago Transient Classification Program (Tomasella et al. 2014, AN, 335, 841) reports the spectroscopic observation of AT2022ea and AT2022eb.
The observation was obtained with the Asiago 1.82m Copernico Telescope (+ AFOSC; range 340-820 nm; resolution 2.0 nm).
AT2022ea (ASASSN-22aj) is a Type Ia SN around a week before maximum. The redshift z~0.032 is derived from SNID/GELATO SN template fitting, and is consistent with that of the host galaxy. The expansion velocity, derived from the minimum of the Si II 6355 absorption line, is 11,000 km/s.
AT2022eb (XM91HT) is a type Ib SN around maximum, similar to SN 2005bf. The spectrum is contaminated by narrow emission lines from Halpha and [O III] 5007. The redshift z~0.0335 is derived from the host galaxy Halpha.
The classification was performed using the GELATO (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, A&A, 488, 383) and SNID (Blondin and Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) tools.
