Spectroscopic Classification of Transients with SOAR

Abstract:
We report the classification of 2 optical transients using the SOAR Goodman spectrograph: 2 type Ia supernovae.

We report the following classification of two supernovae: 2022au and 2022an. Observations were performed with Goodman High Throughput Spectrograph on the Southern Astrophysical Research (SOAR) Telescope. Observations were conducted on Jan. 6. We are grateful to the SOAR observers who carried out these observations.   

Spectral classifications were performed using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007 2007ApJ...666.1024B).
