GOTO-FAST (AstroNote 2023-224) reports the classifications of the following optical transients. The observations were obtained on the Isaac Newton Telescope (INT) on the night of 2023 Aug 17 using the IDS spectrograph with R150V grating (3950-7900 Å, R ~600). The transients were classified using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007) and GELATO (Harutyunyan et al. 2008).
Targets were supplied by the Gravitational-wave Optical Transient Observer GOTO (Steeghs et al. 2022), ATLAS survey (Smith et al. 2020), the Zwicky Transient Facility ZTF (Bellm et al. 2019) - data stream processed through the Lasair broker (Smith, Williams, Young et al. 2019) and by the ALeRCE broker (Forster et al. 2020).
AT 2023mtp has previously been noted for having precursor activity and a rapid rise in the light curve (AstroNote 2023-225). The source appears to be now fading based on ZTF public survey data and has a light curve very reminiscent of known CVs. However, in the absence of clear z=0 features, we leave the classification as uncertain for now.
