Early Spectrum of the FBOT Candidate 2023ufx from SCAT

Abstract:
We obtained a classification spectrum of the FBOT candidate AT2023ufx on 2023-10-09T14:17:46 showing a steep featureless blue continuum.

We obtained a moderate-resolution spectrum of the candidate FBOT AT2023ufx covering 3500-9000A on 2023-10-09T14:17:46 using the SuperNova Integral Field Spectrograph (SNIFS; Lantz et al. 2004) on the UH2.2m telescope as part of the Spectroscopic Classification of Astronomical Transients (SCAT; Tucker et al. 2022) survey. The spectrum shows a steep featureless blue continuum.
