Abstract:
MeerLICHT discovery of AT2023dpj, a possible supernova in NGC 5135 at 60 Mpc.

The MeerLICHT Transient team reports the discovery of AT2023dpj, a possible bright supernova in the host galaxy NGC 5135 at 60 Mpc. The object has multiple detections in MeerLICHT images taken in the u,q and i bands on the night of March 17. Classification spectroscopy and follow-up photometry is highly encouraged.
