Abstract:
We report the spectroscopic classification of SN2023eav as a Type Ia SN

The Asiago Transient Classification Program (Tomasella et al. 2014, AN, 335, 841) reports the spectroscopic observation of SN2023eav in WISEA J081424.88+581752.9 (z=0.026532 from SDSS DR13, 2017 via NED).

The observation was  obtained with the Asiago 1.82m Copernico Telescope equipped with AFOSC, testing an innovative dual order VHP, provided by INAF OA-Brera (gOlem - Gruppo ottiche e Lenti Merate); spectral range 370-1000 nm, Resol. 0.86 nm (around 630 nm) - 0.5 nm (around 435 nm). The spectrum confirms that SN2023eav is Type Ia SN, close to maximum light, as reported by TNS Classification Report No. 14585 [2023TNSCR.659....1B] and TNS Classification Report No. 14587 [2023TNSCR.672....1F].

The classification was performed using the GELATO (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, A&A, 488, 383) and SNID (Blondin and Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) tools.
