Abstract:
We report the classification of AT 2024doo / BGEM J131235.02-353834.8 / Gaia24asm as a H+He TDE.

We obtained a classification spectrum of AT 2024doo, reported by Gaia, Meerlicht, and then BlackGEM, with the Floyds spectrograph mounted on the Las Cumbres 2-meter Faulkes Telescope North in Haleakala, Hawaii, on 2024-04-30 08:21 UT. The spectrum, which we make publicly available on the TNS, displays a broad emission feature consistent with He II 4686A and broad Halpha emission at a redshift of z=0.042 on top of a blue continuum. As such we classify it as a TDE H+He.
X-ray and UV observations with the Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory have been requested, and ground-based optical follow-up is planned using the Las Cumbres Observatory network.
