Abstract:
We report the detection of 10 and 15 GHz radio emission coincident with the luminous fast blue optical transient AT2024wpp at z=0.0868.

On UT 2024 October 25 the Very Large Array (VLA) observed the position of AT2024wpp, a luminous fast blue optical transient at z=0.0868 (AstroNote 2024-272, AstroNote 2024-280), using the X-band and Ku-band receivers. The X-band image RMS was 5 uJy in 19 minutes of on-source time, and the Ku-band image RMS was 5.5 uJy in 17 minutes of on-source time.

A point source was detected at the position of AT2024wpp with a flux density of 254 uJy in X-band (10 GHz) and 311 uJy in Ku-band (15 GHz), corresponding to a 10 GHz luminosity of 5E28 erg/s/Hz at 29 days post-discovery in the observer frame. This is a factor of a few higher than the radio luminosity of AT2018cow at a similar frequency and epoch (Margutti et al. 2019, ApJ, 872, 18).

Further radio observations are planned. We thank the VLA staff for rapidly scheduling and executing these observations.
