Abstract:
We report SWIFT XRT and UVOT observations of a rapidly evolving transient, AT2024adec (ZTF24abvevzs).

Swift XRT observed the position of AT2024adec on 06 Dec 2024 (about 4.5 days after the first optical detection) for an exposure of 4ks, and for a 3ks exposure 1.5 days later.  This resulted in two non-detections with an upper limit of 0.005 ct/s, which corresponds to an upper limit of about 1.8e-13 ergs/cm2/s on the 0.3-10 keV flux and a limit of 4.2e+40 erg/s on the 0.3-10 keV luminosity, assuming a redshift of 0.035.

SWIFT also obtained a uvm2 measurement of 20.5 +/- 0.2 AB mag on the first exposure, and an upper limit of 19.9 AB mag on the second.  However, these measurements are likely contaminated by the presence of a nearby bright star.
