Abstract:
BlackGEM Transient Reports come standard with finder charts

On behalf of the BlackGEM consortium, we would like to advertise that all BlackGEM Transient Name Server reports come standard with a finder chart. These finder charts can be found in the 'related files' column of the AT reports and can be accessed by clicking on the green 'check-mark'. All charts are standard 3' x 3' in size, with orientation of N up and E left, and the position of the transient identified. Charts are auto-generated from the first positive transient detection (i.e. at a transient-image signal-to-noise ratio >6) in the BlackGEM data stream, with the relevant image file indicated. Charts further include the internal BlackGEM name, the ICRS coordinates of the source (based on Gaia DR3 astrometry), the filter of observations and the 5-sigma point-source limiting magnitude of the image.

Details on the BlackGEM telescope array can be found in Groot et al., 2024.
