GOTO-FAST spectroscopic classifications of optical transients
Source Group: GOTO
Abstract:
This report includes the classification of 2 type Ia SNe, 1 type II SN (possibly II-P), and one galaxy continuum.
GOTO-FAST (Astronote 2023-08-14) reports the classifications of the following optical transients. The observations were obtained on the Isaac Newton Telescope (INT) on the night of 13-02-2024 using the IDS spectrograph with R150V grating (3950-7900 Å, R ~600). The transients were classified using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007).
Targets were supplied by the Gravitational-wave Optical Transient Observer GOTO (Steeghs et al. 2022) , ATLAS survey (Smith et al. 2020), the Zwicky Transient Facility ZTF (Bellm et al. 2019) - data stream processed through the Lasair broker (Smith, Williams, Young et al. 2019) and by the ALeRCE broker (Forster et al. 2020)
The classified objects are listed below in the Related Objects Table.
