Abstract:
We report a fast rising supernova candidate WFST0614dwbc (AT 2025mbz) discovered by the WFST deep high-cadence ugr-bands survey.

WFST0614dwbc (AT 2025mbz) was detected by the 2.5-m Wide Field Survey Telescope (WFST; Wang, T., et al., 2023, SCPMA, 6609512) deep high-cadence ugr-bands survey ("DHugr," Jiang, J.-a., et al. in prep) on May 23, 2025 (MJD: 60818.68). WFST0614dwbc was first detected on MJD 60818.681 at g = 21.25 ± 0.06 mag. The transient is offset by 1.3" from a galaxy (redshift z = 0.035). The brightness of WFST0614dwbc was increased by 2.1 mag (~-0.7 mag/day) in g-band since the discovery.

Given the fast brightening of the transient, follow-up observations are encouraged.

This report is based on observations obtained with the 2.5-m Wide Field Survey Telescope (WFST) at Mt. Saishiteng, Lenghu, China. The WFST science products have been made possible through the contributions of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and the Purple Mountain Observatory (PMO).
