The BHTOM.space network coordinated an observing campaign to monitor SN 2025bof, a candidate Type Ia supernova in a nearby galaxy reported as SN 2025bof by GOTO survey, at z=0.03021 (Ramsey et al. https://www.wis-tns.org/object/2025bof).
Observations commenced on Feb 18th, 2025, approx. 4 days after it was discovered, and continued through July 22nd, 2025. During this period, 366 measurements were obtained using multiple telescopes. Photometric data were taken in various filters and subsequently transformed into Gaia Synthetic Photometry (GaiaSP) for consistency.
Our data exhibit the brightness peak in the R-band shortly after the observations started, at around Feb 22th, 2025. Our observations complement those of ATLAS (in orange and cyan bands) and observations from the ZTF survey (g- and r-band). They are consistent with both ZTF’s steady decrease in brightness and ATLAS’s short-term target variability. Such changes in magnitude, however, may be attributed to the target’s low brightness and its host galaxy flux.
Detailed light curves and associated statistics are presented on the webpage: https://bhtom.space/public/targets/SN2025bof. Further details and the full photometric dataset are available for download by registered users of the BHTOM.space platform.
