Abstract:
This report includes classifications of 1 Type Ia-91-T-like, 1 type II, and 2 ambiguous objects displaying blue continua.

GOTO-FAST reports the classifications of the following optical transients. The observations were obtained on the Nordic Optical Telescope (NOT) on the nights of 2025 Sep 01 and 2025 Sep 02 using the ALFOSC spectrograph with Gr4 grating (3200-9600 Å, R ~360). The transients were classified using SNID-SAGE (Stoppa 2025), SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007) and GELATO (Harutyunyan et al. 2008).

Targets were supplied by the Gravitational-wave Optical Transient Observer GOTO (Steeghs et al. 2022, Dyer et al. 2024) and ATLAS survey (Smith et al. 2020).

The classified objects are listed below in the Related Objects Table.

Catalog Name Reported RA Reported DEC Reported Obj-Type Reported Redshift Host Name Host Redshift Remarks TNS RA TNS DEC TNS Obj-Type TNS Redshift
TNS 2025vrr [GOTO25gkn] 00:23:50.045 -00:18:08.74 SN II 0.0428 Spectrum is consistent with a young type II SN. Redshift from host. 00:23:50.051 -00:18:08.61 SN II 0.0428
TNS 2025wgb [ATLAS25ktk] 04:11:03.760 +21:03:50.19 Other Featureless blue continuum with possible ambiguous absorption features in the blue. We note that the absorption features are not consistent with Ca H and K at z=0, potentially ruling out a CV classification. 04:11:03.760 +21:03:50.19
TNS 2025wpj [GOTO25grg] 20:51:54.460 -14:33:30.49 SN 0.044 Blue continuum with a tentative broad feature around 4600A. We cannot establish a robust type for the object, however, the spatial coincidence with a spiral galaxy favors a SN origin over a Galactic source. Therefore we assign it a SN designation. Redshift from host. 20:51:54.469 -14:33:30.42 SN 0.044
TNS 2025wos [ATLAS25kwg] 05:14:39.218 -15:34:36.24 SN Ia-91T-like 0.12 Consistent with a Type Ia-91-T-like a few days pre-peak. Classification consistent with current peak absolute magnitude (M_L ~ -19.7). Redshift from template matching. 05:14:39.212 -15:34:36.13 SN Ia-91T-like 0.12
