Planned HST observations of SN 2025afcr
Authors: R. Quimby, S. Gomez, A. Fruchter, and T. Moriya on behalf of a larger collaboration

Following the discovery and classification of SN 2025afcr as a superluminous supernova (AstroNote 2025-333), we have triggered Hubble Space Telescope observatons under the "HST Superluminous Supernova UV Legacy Program" (GO-18105; PI=Quimby). Two epochs of FUV/NUV spectroscopy will be obtained. The first epoch includes COS observations starting around Dec. 19, 2025 13:27 (UT) and STIS observations starting around Dec. 20, 2025 12:57 (UT). The second epoch, currently in the planning phase, is expected at the end of the month. We encourage simultaneeous follow-up observations at all wavelengths.

We thank the STScI staff, especially T. Royle, M. Siebert, and A. Payne, for scheduling these HST observations.
