Abstract:
We report two possible TDEs identified by our photometric classifier POTICA (Photometric Optical TDE Identification and Classification Annotator), currently in its testing phase. The lightcurve of AT2025afsj features a month-long rise with relatively blue colours and is currently peaking at 18.4 mag. AT2025agis, although with very limited number of data points, is classified as a potential TDE due to its blue colours and very nuclear location. It seems to be in the fading phase (last g-band point at 19.3 mag). We encourage spectroscopic classification and follow-up of these objects.

POTICA (Photometric Optical TDE Identification and Classification Annotator, pronounced potitsa, a typical Slovenian dessert) is a fast TDE candidate classifier developed by the transient group at the University of Nova Gorica. We fit and extract features from the ZTF lightcurve data and perform a binary classification, mostly based on g-r colour and rise time. The purpose of POTICA is to photometrically select potential TDE candidates and other exotic nuclear transients (AGN flares, BFFs, SLSNe) as early as possible to enable spectroscopic classification and follow-up. POTICA is currently in a testing stage and will be deployed soon on the Lasair broker.
