Abstract:
We report VLA observations at 6 GHz of the Ic-BL SN 2026acxa.

We observed the field of the Ic-BL SN 2026acxa (TNS AT Report No. 324888; TNS Classification Report No. 24771) on 2026 September 29 UT with the Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array (VLA; Project Code 26B-281, PI: O'Dwyer) in its D configuration. Our observations were carried out at a nominal central frequency of 6 GHz and lasted about 1 hr (including calibration overhead). We detect the host galaxy (ESO 598-017) at a flux density of ~4.4 mJy. At the location of the optical supernova (RA, Dec = 21:02:30.263, −19:27:41.91; J2000), we detect a ~6 sigma excess which, at this time, we cannot securely associate with SN 2026acxa due to potential host-galaxy contamination. Further observations aimed at monitoring the time variability of the detected excess (and its SED) are planned.
