MCD Observatory BVRI photometric follow-up of M31 nova AT 2026aaom

Abstract:
We present Johnson B, V and Cousins Rc, Ic photometric follow-up observations of M31 nova AT 2026aaom, obtained from MCD Observatory (X04) during 2026 September.

Observations were obtained with a Celestron C14 EdgeHD telescope at f/7 and an ASI183MM Pro camera equipped with Baader Bessel B, V, R and I photometric filters.

Photometric calibration was performed using field stars from the Local Group Galaxies Survey (Massey et al. 2006, AJ, 131, 2478), providing Johnson B, V and Cousins Rc, Ic reference magnitudes. No instrumental colour-term transformation or atmospheric-extinction correction was applied.

The observations in each filter were obtained sequentially; consequently, short-term brightness variations and strong nova emission lines may influence the reported broadband colour indices.

The photometric observations and colour indices are provided in an attached table (see below – M31mag_20260923.txt).
