Abstract:
We report the classification of 2026euq (LSST-P-DO-313963406691402058) as a Type Ib supernova at z ~ 0.26.

2026euq (Rubin object ID 313963406691402058) was first reported to TNS by SGLF on 2026-03-02 as an SN candidate from the public LSST alerts. An optical spectrum was obtained with LDSS3 on Magellan Clay on 2026-03-22. The classification was performed using SNID-SAGE(F. Stoppa 2025), and the best match was found to be a Type Ib supernova at redshift ~0.26. At this redshift, the object would have a peak absolute magnitude of around -18, consistent with normal Type Ib supernovae.
