ePESSTO+ spectroscopic classification of an optical transient
Source Group: ePESSTO+
Abstract:
This report includes classification of one Type Ia supernova.
ePESSTO+, the advanced Public ESO Spectroscopic Survey for Transient Objects (Smartt et al. 2015 2015A&A...579A..40S), reports the following supernova classification.
Target was supplied by the ATLAS survey (Smith et al. 2020 2020PASP..132h5002S).
Observation was performed on the ESO New Technology Telescope (NTT) at La Silla on the night of 2026 May 29, using EFOSC2 and Grism 11 (3345-7470, 14A resolution). Classification was done using SNID-SAGE (Stoppa F., Smartt S.~J., 2026, arXiv, arXiv:2603.28741. doi:10.48550/arXiv.2603.28741).
The classification spectrum and additional details can be obtained from http://www.pessto.org (via WISeREP) and the IAU Transient Name Server.
The classified object is listed in the Related Object table below.
