Abstract:
Spectroscopic classification of SN2020lfn as a young (few days from explosion) type II supernova at z=0.044. Spectrum shows narrow Balmer and Helium emission lines, similar to SN1998S.

We report the spectroscopic classification of AT2020lfn.

Observations were performed on the NOT at La Palma on the night of 2020 May 29, using ALFOSC and Grism 4 (3200-9600A, 16A resolution).

The targets were supplied by ALeRCE using the public ZTF stream. Target was also reported in the Transient Name Server (TNS).
