TNS Classification Report No. 2978 [ 2018TNSCR1719....1B ]

Jamison Burke, Daichi Hiramatsu, Iair Arcavi, D. Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, Stefano Valenti report/s a classification of object: SN 2018hsz
Type: SN IaRedshift: 0.061709
Remarks: Using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) and Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190), we find multiple fits to SNe Ia around maximum light. We measure the SiII velocity to be 11,000 km/s from the absorption lines. The best-fit redshift from SNID (0.061) is in good agreement with the expected redshift of the host FAIRALL 0761 (0.061709).
