TNS Classification Report No. 4909 [ 2019TNSCR1646....1P ]
Date Received (UTC): 2019-08-27 22:52:05 Sender: Daniel Perley
Group: ZTF
Daniel A. Perley (LJMU) on behalf of the ZTF SLSN team report/s a classification of object: SN 2019neq
Type: SLSN-IRedshift: 0.1075
Remarks: A 2x900 second spectrum with SPRAT on the Liverpool Telescope shows H-Balmer and OIII emission lines from the host galaxy at a redshift of z=0.1075. Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190) finds a good match between the continuum and the spectrum of SN 2005ap close to maximum light at a consistent redshift. At this redshift the transient has an absolute magnitude (g-band) of -21 and is still rising.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2019-08-27 21:08:25
Instrument: SPRAT
Telescope: Liverpool Telescope
Details of the object and its spectra can be viewed here: https://www.wis-tns.org/object/2019neq
