Sebastian Gomez, Griffin Hosseinzadeh, Peter Blanchard, Edo Berger (Harvard CfA) Philip S. Cowperthwaite (Carnegie Obs), Matt Nicholl (U Edinburgh) report/s a classification of object: SN 2019npv
Type: SN IbRedshift: 0.056
Remarks: Transient originally reported by Goldstein et al. (GCN 25393) on behalf of the GROWTH collaboration as part of the search for the EM counterpart of the LIGO event S190814bv (GCN 25324). We classified the spectrum using template matching with SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) and determined the redshift from host emission lines.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2019-08-26 09:26:09
Instrument: IMACS
Telescope: Walter Baade Magellan 6.5-m telescope (LCO)
Details of the object and its spectra can be viewed here: https://www.wis-tns.org/object/2019npv
