Type: SN Ia-pecRedshift: 0.07959
Remarks: We report the spectroscopic classification of an optical re-brightening near the center of SDSS J124000.57+010924.3 (z = 0.07959) as a likely peculiar Type Ia supernova (SNIa-pec), based on spectroscopy obtained with LRS2 on the 10m Hobby-Eberly Telescope and with FLOYDS on the 2m Faulkes Telescope North. An accompanying AstroNote has also been submitted.
