Simon de Wet Erez Zimmerman report/s a classification of object: SN 2024abfo
Type: SN II
Remarks: We classify AT2024abfo as a young Type II supernova in NGC 1493 due to the presence of a broad P-Cygni H-alpha feature.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:

Instrument: Mookodi
Telescope: Lesedi 1m
Remarks: The spectrum was obtained with the fully-robotic SAAO 1-m Lesedi telescope equipped with the Mookodi low-resolution (R~172) spectrograph and imager. We acknowledge the SAAO IO team including S. Potter, N. Erasmus, C. van Gend, S. Chandra, H. Worters, M. Hlakola and R. Julie for their role in these making these observations possible.
