Jacob Wise (LJMU), K-Ryan Hinds (LJMU), Daniel Perley (LJMU), R. Michael Rich (UCLA) report/s a classification of object: SN 2024abpg
Type: SN Ia-CSMRedshift: 0.154
Remarks: Spectrum is well-fit to template spectra from various SN Ia subtypes from previously classified events. Broad wings can also be seen by eye for the H-alpha profile. This, combined with the event's slowly evolving lightcurve peaking at M_r ~ -20.8, motivates us to classify this event as a SN Ia-CSM. Redshift of z = 0.154 found using H-alpha emission in spectrum. Classification performed using Next Generation Superfit (NGSF, Goldwasser et al. 2022).
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2025-01-24 02:54:22
Instrument: KAST
Telescope: 3m Lick Shane Reflector
