Type: SN II
Redshift: 0.0116

Remarks: The spectrum exhibits narrow emission lines of H as well as blend of HeII and NIII/CIII blend at around 4650Å, as is typical of a flash-ionised spectrum of a young hydrogen-rich SN. We classify the event as Type II SN, but exact type should be determined ones ejecta lines start to appear. The reported redshift is that of the host galaxy, NGC 2523.
