Group: BTDG
Daichi Hiramatsu (Harvard CfA), Sebastian Gomez (STScI), Harsh Kumar (Harvard CfA), Edo Berger (Harvard CfA), Peter Blanchard (Northwestern) report/s a classification of object: SN 2024ccr
Type: SN Ic-BLRedshift: 0.039347
Remarks: Using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find good fits to several Type Ic-BL SNe roughly a month after maximum at the host redshift of 0.039347 (da Costa et al.,1991, ApJ, 75, 935; via NED). We note a large offset of 0.84’, or 39 kpc, from the host nucleus.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2024-03-18 00:41:53
Instrument: LDSS-3
Telescope: Landon T. Clay Magellan 6.5-m telescope (LCO)
