Robin Leadbeater report/s a classification of object: SN 2024hsq
Type: SN IaRedshift: 0.011134
Remarks: After subtraction of the galaxy component, SNID ( Blondin, S. & Tonry, J. L. 2007. ApJ, 666, 1024) gives a good fit to a type 1a supernova approximately 13 days pre maximum. SNID favours 91T-like (quoted redshift is of host galaxy from NED)
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2024-05-02 23:54:50
Instrument: Other
Telescope: Other
Remarks: //www.threehillsobservatory.co.uk/astro/spectroscopy_20.htm. The strong contribution from the host galaxy has been approximately subtracted using a scaled template spectrum from SDSS
Details of the object and its spectra can be viewed here: https://www.wis-tns.org/object/2024hsq
