Date Received (UTC): 2024-03-21 21:50:49 Sender: Sebastian Gomez
Group: FLEET
Sebastian Gomez (STScI), Daichi Hiramatsu (Harvard CfA), Edo Berger (Harvard CfA), Harsh Kumar (Harvard CfA), Peter Blanchard (Northwestern) report/s a classification of object: SN 2024nz
Type: SN IaRedshift: 0.13
Remarks: 2024nz was selected as a possible SLSN-I by our FLEET program with a P(SLSN-I) = 50% (Gomez et al., 2020, ApJ, 904, 74). The redshift of z = 2024nz was determined a best fit SNID match to the Type Ia SN 2011fe at 50 days past peak (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024).
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2024-03-18 00:00:00
Instrument: LDSS-3
Telescope: Landon T. Clay Magellan 6.5-m telescope (LCO)
Details of the object and its spectra can be viewed here: https://www.wis-tns.org/object/2024nz
