Panos Charalampopoulos report/s a classification of object: TDE 2024qab

Remarks: We report the classification of the optical transient AT 2024qab as a tidal disruption event (TDE) based on an optical spectrum obtained with the Nordic Optical Telescope on 2024-07-28 (i.e., MJD 60519.09). The spectrum shows broad Halpha as well as a blend of Hbeta, HeII and NIII. From the host Ca H&K lines, we find a redshift of z = 0.1398. The spectroscopic features combined with the persistent blue optical colours, suggest that AT 2024qab is a TDE.
