Avinash Singh, Jesper report/s a classification of object: SN 2024ukp
Type: SN IbRedshift: 0.01177
Remarks: We classify SN 2024ukp/ZTF24abcqasv as a Type Ib SN based on a spectrum from NOT/ALFOSC. The spectrum reveals host lines at the cataloged redshift of the host UGC 03943 (z=0.01177). Absorption features of He-I 5876, 6678, and 7065 are distinctly visible at a blueshift of 7,500 km/s. The spectrum taken by ALFOSC best matches Type Ib SN2004ao 45 days after the explosion using NGSF (Howell et al. 2005, Astronote 2022-191).
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2024-09-24 04:08:41
