Moira Andrews (UCSB/LCO), Joseph Farah, D. Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully report/s a classification of object: SN 2024vfo
Type: SNRedshift: 0.019577
Remarks: We report the classification of AT 2024vfo as a SN. The spectrum shows an almost featureless blue continuum with possible broad hydrogen lines at the host redshift (UGC 00690: z = 0.019577, d = 85.6 Mpc, value from NED). The spectrum peak is below our wavelength range (~3000 angstroms), indicating a temperature much greater than 10,000 K.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2024-09-12 09:46:51
Instrument: FLOYDS-N
