TNS Classification Report No. 16421 [ 2024TNSCR.158....1B ]
Date Received (UTC): 2024-01-15 23:21:21 Sender: Claudio Balcon
Group: None
Claudio Balcon (Belluno A.O. ISSP) report/s a classification of object: SN 2024vs
Type: SN IIRedshift: 0.01
Remarks: GELATO (Harutyunyan et al., 2008, A&A, 488, 383) suggests that this spectrum resembles that of a type II supernova. The redshift has been deduced from the spectral fitting.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2024-01-15 20:14:00
Instrument: Other
Telescope: Other
Remarks: We obtained the low-resolution spectrum using the FOSC-E5535 spectrograph attached to a 0.41m telescope, in the course of Italian Supernovae Search Project.
Details of the object and its spectra can be viewed here: https://www.wis-tns.org/object/2024vs
