Date Received (UTC): 2024-11-18 22:56:40 Sender: Jacob Wise
Group: ZTF
Jacob Wise (LJMU), K-Ryan Hinds (LJMU), Daniel Perley (LJMU), Ava Huddleston (UCLA), Atticus Cummings (UCLA), R. Michael Rich (UCLA), Jesper Sollerman (OKC) report/s a classification of object: SN 2024ykl
Type: SN IcRedshift: 0.03
Remarks: Spectrum is well fit to SN Ic and SN Ia templates using Next Generation Superfit (NGSF, Goldwasser et al. 2022). However, lack of prominent Si II absorption and a peak absolute magnitude of g ~ r ~ -18 suggests SN Ic. Redshift obtained from host galaxy emission lines. It should be noted that this event is coincident with the position of the event 2002kj.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2024-10-30 06:22:44
