Group: None
Aiman Hanif, Jami Koskinen, Stina Peteri, Timo Kravtsov, Tuomas Kangas, Erkki Kankare (University of Turku), Mikael Turkki (NOT), Grigori Fedorets (University of Helsinki) report/s a classification of object: SN 2024ymw
Type: SN IaRedshift: 0.063
Remarks: The classification is based on SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007), which shows a good fit to a normal SN Ia a few days before the light-curve peak. The redshift is based on a narrow H-alpha line associated with the host galaxy, and is comparable to the redshift returned by the SNID fit.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2024-10-22 11:02:34
Instrument: ALFOSC
Telescope: Nordic Optical Telescope
