Type: SN Ia
Redshift: 0.0636

Remarks: We obtained an optical spectrum of AT2025aalx on 2025-10-21 22:10:35 UTC using the SAAO 1.9-m telescope at the South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO) equipped with the SpUpNIC spectrograph. The data were reduced using standard procedures with Pyraf v2.1.15, and the resulting spectrum was analysed with the SNID-SAGE classification tool. The object was classified as a normal Type Ia supernova (SN Ia-norm). The spectrum shows the characteristic broad Si II λ6465 absorption feature near 6150 Å (rest frame), consistent with a normal SN Ia at an early phase. The target is unclassified, so we adopt a best-fit redshift of z=0.0636(11).

The following Classification spectrum was provided:

Obsdate: 2025-10-21 00:00:00
