F. Poidevin (IAC and ULL), S. Geier (GRANTECAN and IAC), I. Pérez-Fournon (IAC and ULL), D. Cano-Morales (ULL), N. Elías-Rosa (INAF and ICE/CSIC), D. Aguado (IAC and ULL), and A. López-Oramas (IAC and ULL) report/s a classification of object: SN 2025owt
Type: SLSN-IRedshift: 0.2563
Remarks: Classification performed using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007) with SN templates including SLSN Ic templates (Liu et al. 2017). The best match is for the type Ic SLSN SN 2011kg (PTF11rks) 9 days after maximum light. Redshift of z = 0.2563 from host-galaxy emission lines. At this redshift, the ZTF g-band peak magnitude after correction for interstellar absorption is of Mg = -21.7. We classify this transient as a SLSN Ic-BL.
