Giancarlo Cortini report/s the discovery of a new astronomical transient.

IAU Designation: SN 2025rwy
Coordinates (J2000): RA = 14:07:17.260 (211.821917) DEC = +75:55:30.99 (75.925275)
Discovery date: 2025-07-22 23:15:30.000 (JD=2460879.4690972)

Potential host galaxy: UGC 9052

Remarks: Giancarlo Cortini (Monte Maggiore Observatory-Predappio-ITALY) reports the discovery of a transient in UGC 9052 by 0.35m. Sch.-Cass. F/5.5 + Starlight X-Press Trius SX9 CCD camera on several unfiltered images; mag. about+18.0,limit mag. about+ 19.0. My past image of the same field taken on 2025/07/14.98 showed nothing at that position (limit mag.+ 19.0) and it doesn't appear on P.O.S.S. II red and blue plates. No known minor planet is marked in that position for the time of the discovery. Mag. values from: GSC and USNO.
