Group: adH0cc
G. Csoernyei, B. Leibundgut, J. Spyromilio (ESO), S. Taubenberger (TUM / MPA), W. Hillebrandt (MPA), S. Blondin (CNRS, LAM / ESO) report/s a classification of object: SN 2025vgm
Type: SN IIRedshift: 0.0535
Remarks: The SN shows broad and weak P Cygni lines of H and He, indicative of a young Type II supernova. The redshift was estimated based on the narrow Halpha emission line seen in the extracted background spectrum.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2025-09-02 01:59:45
Instrument: FORS2
Telescope: The Very Large Telescope - UT1
Remarks: Quick-reduction spectrum
